In 2017, organist Aaron David Miller started a year-long musical journal documenting various improvisations created for concerts, music events, and worship services at his home congregation, The House of Hope Presbyterian Church in St. Paul, MN. Aaron took one improvisation per week and transcribed it for his fellow organists.
The first six months of this project are posted below. Each improvisation includes a free download of the transcription along with a recording. These improvisations stem from a variety of musical genres. The transcriptions are intended as a gift to his colleagues and an encouragement for the future of organ improvisation.
